The ARTS series which joins contemporary music and art offers a new outstanding achievement with the recording of Salvatore Sciarrino's Aspern Suite for soprano and instrumental ensemble illustrated by the front cover of the French painter Daniel Buren. Aspern Suite is a fascinating work or better a musical exercise over traditional texts and over the famous librettos of Lorenzo Da Ponte for Mozart's operas. Susanna Rigacci gives the voice for this difficult work, whilst the soloists of Contempoartensemble (two flutes, percussions, viola, cello and harpsichord) produce the intriguing instrumental background. Daniel Buren's "Encres sur papier" gives an ideal relationship between this musical work and contemporary art. Buren is worldwide renowned as a leading exponent of the essential art, made by geometrical figures and colours. Mauro Ceccanti and his Contempoartensemble confirm to be excellent performers of 20th Century music. Their productions, which ranged from Schoenberg to Berio and Boulez have been warmly received from the specialised critic and even awarded in several countries. Their next production will involve Steve Reich's music and will inspire the German painter Gerard Richter. This production will shortly be available also in square metal can in the "ARTS Collector series".
