The trio Bolt Of Void reveals signals that arrive across warped space-time. Their alchemical soundings glide through ancient forms, pulling the listener in and out of a lucid state of being. It is in this arc of descending and ascending motion that spirit is congealed from the fog of nothingness. Through a hypnogogic portal the ear is met with something intimately close and delicate, and also evading perception along a distant horizon, heard but unconfined. Sound in its ability to be perceived as continuous flow, that is to solidify and to evaporate, is how we commonly experience this cosmic double-matter. Sound animates all matters of existence and the trio vibrate air as a form of magical improvisation.

Having both a spatial and a temporal aspect, Bolt Of Void’s magic is the purposeful shaping of oppositional forms into morphic resonances—matter coalesced out of seemingly nothing through electro-mechanical telepath-ways. Even within their namesake lies this occult contradiction; bolt, a sudden thunderous burst of action, movement, presence and void—that which is neither matter nor non-matter, neither being nor the absence of being.

Gathered under this unknowable force, they move as a mercurial vehicle. Sound vibration can literally change everything. Music can quench the soul far beyond how the modern world commodifies its capability. Music is spell binding and when the vibe is just right the whole body—everything—submerges and ecstatically drowns in a euphoric riptide. In April of 2026 in Tucson, Arizona, the three members of this familial band, Kari Treadwell, Nyal Ruehlen, and Cecyl Ruehlen, gathered at The Center For Harmonic Ooze, the home base and recording studio of Cecyl’s label. In this light filled space, they spent several days composing and recording their second studio album.

Bolt Of Void’s gatherings flutter and disperse as a spectral mutation. The group has been dispersed across 2,000 miles for seven years, so getting together to make an album is intensely concentrated. The triadic coven acts as an amplifier of intention—Sound guided by elemental principles, Earth, Air, Water, and Fire.
