Eduard Escoffet is a Catalan sound poet. Born in Barcelona, for more than 20 years he has been touring all over Europe and America in poetry and experimental music festivals performing his delicate yet precise and sensual poetry actions layered with repetitive patterns rooted both in techno culture and classic sound poetry. He has also organised different poetry festivals from the 1990s (Proposta, Barcelona Poesia, ReVox and Poesia i +, among others). Bastida is his first solo LP. Recorded mostly during 2021, it includes vocal experiments and improvisations shaping a language landscape where voice and body meet sound poetry through the mouth, all inspired by some of his masters: Demetrio Stratos, Carles Santos, bp nichol, Joan La Barbara and Bernard Heidsieck.
