**Original 1978 vinyl edition of the album. Few copies available** A beautiful illustration of the strength of cellist and double-bassist Paolo Damiani as a leader – that way he has of firmly directing a quartet from the place of the bass, yet always in a subtle way that never overpowers the rest of the group! The balance here is wonderful – as Strutture Di Supporto's sound drives free improvisation to great dramatic effect, and soulfully set the tune from the start – yet the lead lines are often taken by the piano of Martin Joseph, who dances delightfully alongside the creative drum work of Michele Iannaccone – already a heck of a great player at this point in his career, and soon after he's made a legendary LP on Cramps Diverso series. Eugenio Colombo comes in with Alto and Baritone and additional flute lines.
