Castellar

*50 copies limited edition* Orb Tapes is proud to present Demo, the debut offering from Castellar, a project whose sound sits at the intersection of shadowed atmospherics and raw sonic immediacy. Emerging from the underground currents of experimental music, Demob captures the urgency, openness, and unpredictability that can only come from first transmissions.

Across its unfolding passages, Demo balances restraint with intensity: fractured textures collide with moments of stark beauty, while layers of noise, melody, and space draw the listener into shifting emotional terrain. Castellar offers a music that is at once vulnerable and uncompromising, a portrait of exploration unfiltered by overproduction or convention.

As with much of Orb Tapes’ catalog, Demo exists beyond genre boundaries, speaking instead in gestures, atmospheres, and the tension between harmony and dissonance. This is music that rewards deep listening, whether through headphones in solitude or at full volume in the thick of community.
