"This album is composed entirely of live recordings: no overdubs, no gimmicks. Annie Barbazza and John Greaves tour throughout Italy and Europe with a constantly evolving tracklist, usually decided at the last minute before going on stage. This album collects some of the songs, mostly written by John, that form the core of their shows. Sometimes they perform parts of Annie's repertoire, such as "Moonchild" or "Epitaph" by Greg Lake while performing at the Rock In Opposition Festival in Lyon in May 2019. Sometimes they explore John Lennon's "Working Class Hero," occasionally even some David Bowie songs, and very often Robert Wyatt's "Sea Song," which we omitted here because it was included on John Greaves's first album for Dark Companion Records, simply called Piacenza, where Annie plays piano and vocals on that masterpiece, recorded at their very first performance together way back in 2014. John is a great friend of Robert Wyatt, and they have collaborated many times. With Annie Barbazza and The North Sea Radio Orchestra they recorded and performed Rock Bottom which resulted in the acclaimed album Folly Bololey, for our label."
