Limited LP edition. With Night of the Living Dead (1968) George Romero invented the modern zombie, and ten years later Dawn of the Dead turned it into a satire of consumer society, with the survivors barricaded inside the Monroeville shopping mall. In Italy the film came out as Zombi, in a different cut supervised by co-producer Dario Argento, and with a score by Goblin, the band of Claudio Simonetti, Massimo Morante, Fabio Pignatelli and Agostino Marangolo, fresh from Profondo Rosso and Suspiria.
It is one of their most varied soundtracks: the sinister, relentless march of the opening 'L'Alba Dei Morti Viventi', the title theme 'Zombi', the hard rock of 'Zaratozom', and between them pieces for keyboards, synthesizers and every kind of percussion ('Safari', 'Torte In Faccia', 'Ai Margini Della Follia', 'La Caccia', 'Tirassegno', 'Oblio', 'Risveglio').
This edition was made by Cinevox Record and AMS Records for the 20th anniversary of New York Comic Con, and for the first time the Goblin soundtrack is issued under the film's original title. New cover artwork created by Jj Farfante Artlab under the direction of Marco Bixio, a tribute to the mall where the film takes place. Black vinyl, limited to 750 copies.
