Formed by pianist Irene Aranda, this trio brings together three artists who take the sonic possibilities of their instruments to the hilt. Aranda specifically chose saxophonist Don Malfon and vocalist Ami Yamasaki for their unconventional approaches to improvisation - Malfon through his constantly evolving extended saxophone techniques, Yamasaki through the singularity of her echolocation vocal practices. Together, the trio shapes an inimitably absorbing musical lexicon, capable of catching even the most discerning listeners off guard.
