This duo release by María Valencia and Leonel Kaplan brings together two distinct yet deeply attuned voices in creative music. Valencia’s fluid work on alto saxophone and clarinet moves between lyricism and abstraction, while Kaplan’s cornet is bristling with extended techniques, and bold, textural invention. Their interplay unfolds with a patient intensity, balancing restraint and spontaneity in equal measure. The result is an intimate, exploratory dialogue that rewards close listening and invites repeated returns.
