Accordion and alto saxophone: ten short pieces in moment form by Tizia Zimmermann and Chris Pitsiokos, recorded in Berlin and Zürich in 2024.

Superimpositions is a duo album by accordionist Tizia Zimmermann and alto saxophonist Chris Pitsiokos, composed together and recorded in Berlin and Zürich in 2024.

Pitsiokos describes it as a strict study in moment form: ten short pieces, each devoted to a single idea and named after it, from Phasing and Cluster Plus One to Short Glissandi, Timbre Change, Full Range Pointillism, Low Slow Trill, Four Multiphonic Transcriptions and Expanding Cluster.

Mixed and mastered by Pitsiokos. Cover artwork by Andriu Deplazes; on the disc and packaging, a lithograph by Marjeta Morinc and design by Katharina Huber. Supported by Stadt Zürich Kultur.

Limited edition of 300 CDs on Eleatic Records.
