Carny Cant is a one-man studio album. Chris Pitsiokos composed, produced and mixed it, wrote all the words, and plays alto and baritone saxophones, harmonica, electric bass, electronic drums, voice and all the electronic and MIDI instruments, plus electric guitar on the closing track.

Two guests come in on parts of it: Rick Eye on electric guitar on tracks two to five, and Jason Nazary on drums on tracks two, three and five. The six pieces run from Invocation to Question Mark, with two journal entries, The Burden of Solidity and The Burden of Memory, along the way.
