*2025 stock* The project is a musical composition that employs the technique of deriving and expanding upon the fragmentary. It is an investigation that is, in advance, lost in the midst of stories that come back again and again, told in disorder, illuminated from other angles or revealed by new links. Les Mortes is a sonic saga that brings together three musical ensembles with different aesthetics navigating among these bits and pieces of a whole of which we have only the echo.

Stories of a funeral fanfare, of voiceless rap, of absence and violence, and of a text too harsh, too indigestible, that spins out autopsy reports ad infinitum, the consequences of a very real feminicide. This text, retranscribed from the novel 2666 by Roberto Bolaño (Chile, 1953-2003), concentrates in itself what inspired the labyrinthine journey of this concert: a fragmented form used as a source of derivation and expansion. A spiral in which certain loops draw us upwards or, on the contrary, accelerate our fall.

A spiral whose axis is this text. It gives substance to the mysterious evil around which Bolaño’s work revolves. It is the only surviving fragment to appear in this concert, in a totally dried-up form, at the center of the sound journey. The sensation of déjà-vu haunts the listening as it does the reading.
