Out of stock

Rare poster designed by Marian Zazeela for her own 1978 exhibition at the Dia Art Foundation in New York.

condition (poster): EX (minuscule yellow stains on back, folded into 3 sections)

14"x11" poster.

Not a recording. Poster published in conjunction with Zazeela's 1978 exhibition Light at the Dia Art Foundation space at Heiner Friedrich Gallery (10-24 September 1978), an installation of photo-offset prints exploring the colour relationships and mirror-image symmetries that would define her four decades of light environments paired with La Monte Young's sound installations.

Magenta and purple inks on white matte coated stock; the exhibition title appears in dot-style mirror-image shadow with a dot-style border surrounding all the calligraphy, which is Zazeela's own hand in her instantly recognisable script (the same hand that draws the Dream House sleeves, the Pran Nath concert flyers, and the MELA Foundation publications). The poster is included here as one of the small-edition Dia ephemera that circulate alongside the LPs in the La Monte Young / Marian Zazeela collector universe. Roughly 11 x 17 inches.
