Mario Batkovic is a Swiss composer and accordionist whose work takes his instrument toward minimalism and contemporary composition. His self-titled 2017 debut for Invada, the label run by Geoff Barrow, was recorded with nothing more than a microphone and an accordion, and was followed in 2021 by Introspectio and Repertio, and by scores for films such as Mad Heidi and Shame and Money.

I I collects nine new pieces, all with Latin titles, from Mundus and Semina Rerum to Mendicor and Clementia Iustitia. The album was composed and produced by Batkovic, recorded and mixed by Nicola Jannuzzo at Veruston Studios and mastered by James Trevascus.
