The MEV group - Musica Elettronica Viva - was protagonist of a true Copernican revolution in the conception of the relationship between musicians and audience in the second half of the Sixties. After an early career marked by a strong technological and "electrical" connotation, starting from 1968 in the collective improvisations of works like Zuppa and Sound Pool, MEV oriented more decisively towards the integration of the public, considered as the carrier of telluric and primitive creative energies. Perhaps it was the ethical intransigence and the rigorous theoretical approach about the role of the audience that led MEV to its momentary dissolution in 1970. Through MEV's history, this book addresses some fundamental issues of the musicological debate on electroacoustic music: the relationship with technology, audience, and live performance. Il gruppo MEV - Musica Elettronica Viva, è stato protagonista di una autentica rivoluzione copernicana nella relazione tra musicisti e pubblico nella seconda metà degli anni Sessanta. Dopo un esordio caratterizzato da una forte identità "tecnologica", a partire dal 1968 MEV si orienta con decisione, nelle improvvisazioni collettive di lavori come Zuppa e Sound Pool, verso l'integrazione del pubblico, considerato il vettore di energie telluriche e primitive. Forse fu l'intransigenza etica e il rigore teoretico con cui MEV affrontò il tema del ruolo del pubblico che portarono alla momentanea dissoluzione del gruppo nel 1970. Questo libro affronta attraverso la storia di MEV alcuni temi fondamentali del dibattito musicologico sulla musica elettroacustica: la relazione tra tecnologia, pubblico ed esecuzione dal vivo.
