A box set in a limited edition of 50, printed in intaglio from an aquatint copperplate. Made by hand, the box set contains a numbered reproduction of the anonymous photograph, Alessandra Piolotto's narrative in Italian and English, a presentation text and an audiocassette with the sound composition created by artist Gea Brown especially for the project, with a download code to listen to it digitally.  Sancta Ratio Chaotica! is a multidisciplinary research work on the concept of translation and from diffuse photographic archives. From the discovery of an archive photograph, the project develops through a narrative, plastic and sound interpretation.
In this case, it is a dialogue made up of continuous evocative cross-references, between the written word of a story, the textile writing of a fragment of a tapestry and the visual representation of sound on aluminium and copper plates, immersed in the soundscape created in collaboration with sound artist Gea Brown.
