John Clyde-Evans played in that formidable band called Hood in the early 90s. In the years that followed, he was one of the most adventurous figures in the incredibly diverse British underground scene. His productions from that era ranged from blissful tape loops of string instruments to bizarre, mind-numbing noise experiments—created using, among other things, traditional Indian instruments from the time he spent living there... Then, for nearly twenty years, he completely fell off the radar... only to return in what we consider a state of grace greater than ever. This is his second release since that comeback.
The dream will freeze in midwinter's memories tape contains tracks written and produced for tape, voice and cello by JCE August 2026; track 1 includes a reading of Afterthoughts by Tachihara Michizo.
