Apocalyptic rebetika recordings from the 1930s through to late '50s. Songs of sorrow, poverty, loss and the general end of this god forsaken planet.
"Magnificently hard-core rebetika, from the 1930s till the end of the 1950s. Wretched, bitter, raging; an other-worldly blend of Arab and European music, two steps from Delta Blues; implacably anti-capitalist, existentialist, apocalyptic. Fabulous stuff." - Honest Jon's
