Artetetra is honored to present a journey through music with Trans Zimmer & The DJs' debut album. A dense, musical-like jewel of midi composition and arrangement. For this self-titled album, the film composer "Trans Zimmer" teamed up with production crew "The DJs" and together disassembled a number of orchestral compositions through their sharp sound design craft and absurd, whimsical lyrics. The DJs selected 11 of their favorite arrangements and got down to the midi grind, pouring over every single note. They transformed flutes into crystalline synths, and bassoons into slap bass lines. The DJs gathered a preposterous amount of percussive and effect samples, and mashed them up into this musical jam. As label honchos, we felt galvanized upon receiving such a proposal, as it is extremely rare to receive such a unique and refined piece of demo.

Although coming from very different backgrounds, these two parties enjoy a dense and relentless musical approach and both have a taste for certain musical jokes. Above all they both enjoy playing with notes and sounds!

Ultimately, Trans Zimmer & The DJs explore the potential of contemporary music creation through audio workstations and composer tools. Through a plethora of samples and sound references and a rainbow of simulated acoustic sounds and physical modeling, TZ & The DJs share the vision of a universe where classic compositions are more of a digital fairytale of pop references and rhythmic body teasers than serious, academic endeavors.
