*Limited edition of 500 copies.* 2nd press for the second LP of indie pop meets industrial dreaming from Gothenburg heroes Amateur Hour.
"It’s like two halves of the same uncomfortable feeling. The strange but true meeting of the mawkish sweetness of indie pop and the psychically damaged acting-out of industrial and noise has a long tail. Moments of heartfelt song emerging from the murk of an Xpressway cassette, the wailing debris plus cute pop of Henry’s Dress/Black Tambourine/Sunny Sundae Smil…
*Limited edition of 500 copies.* ”Krökta Tankar Och Brända Vanor” is the first proper release by Gothenburg’s Amateur Hour since 2019’s ”Framtiden Tillhör Inte Oss”. Julia, Hugo & Dan are no strangers in the Gothenburg Underground scene, and have performed in acts such as Westkust, Sewer Election, Enhet För Fri Musik, Makthaverskan, Typical Girls and Oroskällan. Comprising …
*2022 stock.* When does our experience of sound become "music"? In the tradition of John Cage and Morton Feldman, in which sounds – and silences – can just be themselves, Thomas DeLio plays with the spaces between your ears as much as the sounds he puts there. In short, be advised this album is replete with clicks, silences, and brief sound events. Stripped bare, it plays with time and space and the minimum conditions for music. It gives the term ‘experimental music’ meaning. DeLio’s approach to…

*2022 stock.* Out of the abyss but not out of the darkness. Electro-acoustic production interwoven with heavy rhythms, minimal songwriting, ominous vocals and neatly placed in a vacuum, high quality recordings & sounds which have their roots into neo pop'n'folk, dark ambient, dubbing-drones ...This is the 2nd full length release from NY based artist J Greco. Sometimes aggressive, and other times distant, but without loosing continuity. Featuring vocals from Tracy Jeffrey (Orchis), Tony Wakeford …
“Whether it is traditional or contemporary, we need to be authentic,” says Gözen Atila who performs as Anadol. “I don't claim that I am authentic, but this is what I want to achieve.” A sense of authentic exploration, introspection and celebration coats every inch of Anadol’s latest album. After 2019’s Uzun Havalar, the Turkish artist returns with an album that continues to explore a variety of deeply embedded musical traditions while also hurtling into new terrain.
The music and influences - a…
*In process of stocking. 2022 stock* "There is a particular approach to improvisation which can seem slightly strange when you first encounter it, although it's been around in free improv at least since the days of the AACM, and so probably since free improv existed at all. This approach finds a commonality with field recordings of "exotic" musics rather than with the studio, and seeks, one way or another, to embrace that commonality in a non-contradictory way.
Rohstoff represent one way of doin…
** Edition of 700 copies, duotone artwork on inner & outer sleeves ** Runhild Gammelsæter and Lasse Marhaug are two Norwegian musicians/sound artists. Both started in the early 1990s music underground and have worked in many constellations with a wide range of collaborators. Despite knowing each other for a long time, Gammelsæter and Marhaug's first collaborative work was the Quantum Entanglement LP in 2014. The project lay dormant until Stephen O'Malley and Greg Anderson invited them to open fo…
This foursome is resolute in its acceptance of communal responsibility and creation. Vocalist Kyoko Kitamura sings and speaks in wordless flurries matching Taylor Ho Bynum’s brassy exhortations on cornet. Cellist Tomeka Reid and guitarist Joe Morris worry and pluck their respective strings, applying speed and torque in the loosing of spidery cascades of crinkled and crenelated tones. Pitch and timbre differentials are a big part of the interplay with instruments juxtaposed in bursts of activity.
Forbes Graham (trumpet, drum machine, laptop computer) is joined by Cecilia Lopez (analog synth) and Brandon Lopez (bass) on a session recorded at Firehouse 12 in August of 2021. Each musician is wholly distinct and themselves on this recording, but their sounds unite to create a dark and quizzical sci-fi journey.
The Industrious Tongue of Michael Foster is a 2-part work probing the most intimate and sensitive glands of the saxophone's internal architecture. This work is dedicated to several filmmakers whose work explores the erotic extremities and complexities of contemporary intimacy which has served as a focal point of inspiration for this album: Hisayasu Sato, Takashi Ishii, Naomi Tani and Jacques Rivette.

*2022 stock. Limited edition of 100 copies.* 'Gestes croisés / Gesti incrociati' it is the first collaboration between Pierre Gerard and Luigi Turra, and with this work they confirm their poetics, inclined to radicalism and exploration of a universe made of details often cultivated through a silence that generates expectations and rewards attention. A work that reaffirms the duo's forged connections with the modern avant-garde, electroacoustic improvisation and with fragments of abstract and min…
“Terror Iridescence” is the 4th full length release by the latter-day, New York City based reincarnation of the seminal Punk Jazz/No Wave/Brutal Prog unit The Flying Luttenbachers, and the 17th album since 1992. After all of this, longtime fans tend to expect notable creative twists to be pulled by the band with each release, and this one will not disappoint. This time around, our heroes have issued forth a boldly abstract haunted-house salvo of dizzying surrealism, loaded with exceptionally biz…
The legendary Lebanese trio of trumpeter Mazen Kerbaj (Karkhana, Johnny Kafta), guitarrist Sharif Sehnaoui (Calamita, Karkhana, Johnny Kafta ) and bassist Raed Yassin (Praed, Praed Orchestra) celebrates their 20th anniversary with The Binding Third on Unrock.
They still create acoustic improvised drones that range from insistent, chiming resonances with emergency alarm bells to low, thrumming hums but with growing intensity. Avoiding conventional technique, A Trio manages to create sounds like m…
*Limited edition of 500 copies.* Playfield has never played inside. Daniel Carter, a multi-instrumentalist and the founder of 577 Records, has always pushed to make sound more real, relying on outdoor performance and New York City's auditory ambience, to orchestrate his pieces. This practice, which is fundamentally improvisational and experimental, opens any final recording to the unpredictable nature of strangers' sound and offers a rich texture of a moment in time. Importantly for the artists,…
