The Palm Leaves of Victory / Audio Letter to Mitch Meyers
The Sun City Girls were unlike any band before them or that has come in their wake. Their catalog, their ethos, their *being* - you name it, with the Girls that “it” was singular and became legend. This singularity started early and extended to their release schedule and the means behind the same. While the band would prove to be wildly prolific throughout their existence, during their nascent days they quickly realized that they could not be contained by any sort of traditional label schedule. …

Canvas on Which It Is Impossible to Paint
On Canvas on Which It Is Impossible to Paint, Tungu and Hui-Chun Lin stretch improvisation to the brink of impossibility. Lin’s fiercely physical cello dialogues with Senchuk’s cut‑tape, bass and environmental ghosts, while Makigami Koichi’s voice skews the frame further, turning the duo’s third chapter into a volatile, detail‑rich sonic palimpsest.
The Commission
The Commission marks forty years of Capricorni Pneumatici with an eerie convergence of sound and image. A new CD of liturgical trances and mechanical nightmares intersects with Tomislav Török Terek’s London installation, where ritual ambient, police sirens and Tunguska dreams fuse into one destabilizing, cavernous listening experience.
For Red Riverbank
Everything seems asleep, and yet going all the time. In the cold damp earth below, Mole, Ratty and Badger are working away on new homes for Mole's uninvited guests. But Ratty picks up on terrible whispers from the Wild Wood Inn. Developers are making plans in the field above...and the landlords are up to no good...
Still Ist Die Nacht
Taking its name from the opening lines of Heinrich Heine's Der Doppelgänger — later set to music by Franz Schubert — Still Ist Die Nacht gathers a sprawling network of collaborations into a single collection, compiled and directed by Aleksandr Popkov. The release features work by Buna (Yaroslav Krasnov, Aleksandr Popkov), Infinite Source Loops (Aleksandr Popkov, Nadja Sky, Time Consumer), and 0018 (Administration Des Ventes, Nadja Sky, Time Consumer), alongside solo material from Aleksandr Popko…
Porcelain
Fohn conjures a dreamlike landscape of introspective beauty, loneliness and transience from analogue tape and field recordings on new album, Porcelain.  A late summer evening in southern France. The dry mistral wind billows the washing that hangs outside the windows on narrow streets, bringing with it the first whispers of autumn. In the distance children are playing in the square, their shouts caught in the dust whipped up by their feet. A bell tolls, the light dies, and a rich, compelling soli…
The Fullness of a House
On The Fullness of a House, Nial Morgan turns cheap fans, glasses and wood into a nervous, breathing architecture of sound. Domestic surfaces vibrate, stall and shimmer, yielding a quietly gripping electroacoustic diary where technical fatigue, spatial resonance and emotional ambiguity are held in fragile equilibrium.
Even Colder Spring
Black Truffle is pleased to present Even Colder Spring, the latest release from the mysterious and wildly prolific Cities Aviv (a.k.a. Wilbert Gavin Mays, who also records as African-American Sound Recordings), a rare appearance from the artist outside his own D.O.T. Audio Arts label. For over a decade, Cities Aviv has twisted hip-hop conventions into the most skewed and splayed forms, layering and lacerating twitching loops, extreme production techniques and his mercurial vocal stylings into he…
Live 79-81
You can recall John Lurie from his amazing performances in Jim Jarmusch ‘Permanente Vacation’ or ‘Stranger Than Paradise’ (even his cameo in Paris, Texas and Desperately Seeking Susan), but the long & tall man from Minneapolis is essentially an outstanding musician. From 1979 onwards he was the leader of The Lounge Lizards, a band he put together in downtown New York with the help of brother Evan (piano, organ), Arto Lindsay (on guitar), Steve Piccolo (on bass) and Anton Fier on drums. Their mus…
Vos
The most recent album by Vrouw! The hand-picked tracks comefrom improvised recording sessions in which a fox spirit watches over the web of voices and sounds. Five voices, five languages, one attitude: the all-female-collective Vrouw! comes from Berlin – and their music refuses any origin. The musicians form a network of noises, voice and structure from improvised material. Amplified everyday objects, self-made "microphone hats" and a bass that holds everything together - the result is a sound b…
The Small & The Many
*2026 stock* Beißpony is much more than a band. Laura Theis and Stephanie Müller aka Rag*Treasure met at a Kimya Dawson concert at Kafe Kult in Munich in 2006. Experimental pop meets anti-folk, noise, sound art, queer feminist DIY punk spirit, performance, and video art. Despite their long-distance band relationship, the two remain in close contact. German-Turkish songwriter Laura Theis lives in Oxford (UK) and works there as a freelance writer. Steffi Müller's base is the Mediendienst Leistungs…
Fusion
*200 copies limited edition* “For the last 6 years, New York sampledelia and synthesis rhabdomants Nuke Watch, duo of Aaron Anderson and Chris Hontos, also known for alternative projects and spinoffs like Beat Detectives and Weird Shit U.S.A. 2, have consistently composed and released cerebral flows of psychedelic compositions bridging the gap between the post-hippy movement wastelands, the weirdest fringes of urban beatmaking subcultures, and the wild American DIY avant-garde and noise traditio…
Diario sonoro • Japón
"Diario sonoro • Japón is the debut solo album by musician and composer Lucas Sierra, better known as a member of the Madrid-based indie trio La Paloma. Somewhere in early September 2023, he boards a flight from Hong Kong, and what follows is less a tourist diary, as the title might suggest, than a portrait of finding one's own position in a state of being elsewhere. Diario sonoro • Japón chronologically follows Lucas's route through Japan, finding the country in an in-between moment: when the l…
Unit Of Time
*2026 stock* With Unit of Time, Hans Hulbækmo and Egil Kalman aim to show that we can experience the essence of time through rhythm. How can the perception of time—both for the listener and the performers—be turned completely on its head by rhythm? By zooming in on rhythms from traditional music from around the world, the hyper-focused interplay of free jazz, and the rhythmic structures of just-intoned drone music (which is essentially about resonant intervals built on polyrhythms), these gentle…
The Portrait You Painted Of Me
2025 stock Black vinyl. Here we have the third solo LP by London's Alison Cotton, following on previous successes, All Quiet at the Ancient Theatre (FTR 424LP, 2019) and Only Darkness Now (FTR 564LP, 2020). And as with each of Cotton's projects it is a stylistic advance as well as another example of her dark signature sound. Alison's work with bands is well documented by recordings with Saloon, 18th Day of May, Trimdon Grange Explosion, and her current, ecstatic folk/psych duo, The Left Outsides…
Double Amps
Double Amps emerged from a very specific situation. In early February 2025 a short tour through Belgium and the Netherlands took place with Dietrichs. For those concerts a dedicated stereo setup using two amplifiers was developed. Around that configuration a structured set with taishōgoto was built – a framework that allowed space for improvisation and for the sound to unfold freely on stage. A few weeks after the tour, circumstances created the opportunity for a concentrated week of recording. …
For The Raven
*300 copies limited edition* For the Raven was due to be the next release after Ligeliahorn on the Nekrophile Rekords label. Sadly the project fell through and, even more sadly, it coincided with a number of the celebrants being rounded up to enjoy a short holiday at Her Majesty's Pleasure, expense and, indeed, insistence. By the time our intrepid Disciples Of Doom re emerged the momentum had been lost and For the Raven was consigned to the Metgumbnervaults to, until recently, only make an occas…
Ligeliahorn
*300 copies limited edition* Ligeliahorn was the second release from Metgumbnerbone, the first being the cassette Dreun (recently re released as a handsome double album on the Infinite Fog label). Ligeliahorn was originally released on the A Mission record label in 1984. The whole album was the product of but one night.. Improvised in a derelict factory down on the fog enshrouded banks of The River Tyne in north east England. The instrumentation comprised mainly of what was already there augment…
