Ile De Fievre
One of the most renowned French symphonic Rock bands of the 70's. Even if often compared to King Crimson, Shylock had their own distinctive personality. The band consisted of four virtuoso players: guitarist Frédéric l'Épée (later with Philarmonie), keyboardist Didier Lustig, bassist Serge Summa and drummer André Fisichella. Produced in 1978 Ile de fievre can be considered their absolute masterpiece.

Construcao
If you've ever been wondering which album to get by Chico Buarque – this is it! The record's a stunning batch of sophisticated sides, done in collaboration with Roberto Menescal, and with help from Jobim and MPB4! The album builds on the style of Buarque's excellent late 60s songwriting, and adds in some of the more complicated approaches to arrangement that were being developed in Brazil at the end of the 60s – in a way that pushes Chico's work to the next level, and which makes this record sit…

But in recent years I…

You & I Are Earth
'You & I are Earth' begins with the sound of a woman talking. She recalls memories of being a young girl during the London Blitz fire bombings of World War II. She speaks calmly at first, with memories of the event slowly creeping up on her. These impressions soon become illustrated through Vanessa Rossetto's own collage of mechanized cacophony. Eventually, they develop into her signature Feldman-esque flowing-out of strings.  The woman’s voice belongs to none other than Rossetto’s mother,…
Acceptance Is Not Respect
Ramleh's Gary Mundy has been rather prolific in recent years with his solo Kleistwahr project. As with his main concern, there's a deep-seated interest in pushing the parameters where certain sonics can fall into a seismic vortex of sheer overload yet remain tethered to a knowing sensibility where greater power can be derived from simply holding back. Since the incredible This World Is Not My Home album in 2014 Kleistwahr has embarked on a single-handed mission to not only take such possi…

Viva Negativa vol. 1
A massive project done by Richard Rupenus. Includes TNB material reworked by 75 of the best international avant-garde/industrial/noise artists. "The New Blockaders were one of the UK 's most consistently defiant and formally hostile experimental groups. For all their lack of any public profile, TNB have had an absurdly dispropo…

Feel
A trumpeter and improviser living in Mexico City, over the last ten years Jacob Wick has become known for deconstructing the instrument itself and any expectations of how it "should" be played. The explorations on Feelfocus on sound as it relates to specific spaces and in turn the subtle but profound connections they have to emotions and the body. The result is a highly personal music that is both unique and immediate, abstract yet undeniably visceral. On Feel, Wick creates two intense side-long…
