Aeternum Aevum
Peripheral Records is proud to announce it's thirteenth release with, 'Maurizio Bianchi's - Aeternum Aevum' CD. Two long beautifully understated tracks, that show a more pastoral side to the great Italian master of Industrial. Slow whirling pieces of Ambience dedicated to the late Konrad Schnitzler. The CD is limited to 250 copies within a DigiPak. The sleeve is adnorned inside and out with Abstract paintings by Hayat Saidi.
Box music
Rutger and Stephen sort of accidentally met through e-mail. A simple note regarding an ordering question for a CD led to an enthusiastic e-mail conversation and climaxed in a musical collaboration. This all happened in a very short period, both musicians being very inspired by the concept of “exchange,” as a means to cross space and time -- Rutger living in the Netherlands and Stephen in Virginia.

a new subway tunnel is being built in the harbor area of hamburg's inner city. the tunneling produces waste and the waste needs to be disposed of. in this case sand and shredded rubble are mixed with groundwater in order to be pumped out through steel tubes with a diameter of approximately 80cm. the sounds that are produced in the tubes are object of field recordings that i made at different times and places on site. it was immediately apparent that the continuum of the basic sounds that i used …

These recordings were made as part of a proposed file-sharing collaboration with Austrian sound artist Helmut Schfer. The recordings were abandoned after Schfer's death in April 2007 but largely due to his original interest and enthusiasm, newly-recorded sections were added, with the final edits and mix completed later that year.
