Three Blind Mice is proud to present All Right! by the Isao Suzuki Quartet + 1, from the historic 2021 Stock release. Recorded on November 18 and 19, 1974, this long-awaited installment captures the unmistakable musical voice of Isao Suzuki and the quartet’s dynamic, exploratory spirit.
At the heart of the session is Isao Suzuki himself—renowned as a bassist, but equally compelling as a multi-instrumentalist. On this recording, he expands his artistry across electric piano, organ (Hammond), cello, vibraphone (Vibraharp), drums, and vocals—proving, once again, why his work resonates so deeply with jazz audiences and beyond. Joining him are Osamu Kawakami on bass and Shinji Mori on drums, alongside Akira Okazawa on electric bass and Kazumi Watanabe on electric and acoustic guitars.
A highlight of the album is the title track, “All Right!” (B2): spiritual in tone, bluesy in feeling, and genuinely magnificent in execution. It’s the kind of tune that leaves a lasting impression—equal parts soul, groove, and inspiration—showcasing both the ensemble’s cohesion and the quartet’s bold creative range. With All Right!, Isao Suzuki delivers a powerful third TBM release—an album where versatility becomes identity, and where every turn of harmony and rhythm feels purposeful, alive, and unmistakably timeless.
