Emerging anonymously from Bristol's legendary electronic music scene, Capper Pass materializes on Indefinite Boundary with Bayhead – six tracks of smoldering neo-industrial textures, fractured southern rap rhythms and experimental sound design. Drawing inspiration from the ghosts of deindustrialization and the landscapes left behind, the name holds personal significance for one half of the project, who grew up near the former Capper Pass metal refinery in East Yorkshire, a site infamous for its radioactive contamination. Today, an Amazon warehouse stands where the refinery's tower once loomed – an ominous reflection in the evolution of culture that is dually reflected across the immersive missive of Bayhead.

Originally conceived while both members were living in Bedminster, South Bristol, near the site of the first Capper Pass metal refinery, the duo bonded over a shared love of Southern US hip-hop, synth soundtracks and experimental ambient music. These influences, combined with found imagery that parallels between England's post-industrial coastline and the industrial landscapes of the American South — abandoned buildings, rusting machinery and polluted, half-reclaimed waterways — shaped the project's distinctive raw, immersive and atmospheric sound.

From the digi-dub barrage of Reunion into the hazy world of Long Brake and the unrelenting Why Call It, Bayhead begins on a burnt and smoldering edge. Lords then bends and bubbles with an otherworldly percolation while the torchlit Willow dissolves into In Lights Gaze – bringing a cleansing balance of ethereal, yet bittersweet light. On this debut EP, Capper Pass have masterfully captured both desolation and beauty in equal measure.
