From the opening heavy psychedelic gnosis of the title track of Window Areas on to the broken, driving motorik groove of Earthworks and bubbling island-tinged funk of Mindspeak – Niikkolahs leads with innate, primal rhythm strains. Liminality phases in alternative timelines with anchored, subatomic basslines while Katabasis leads directly underground to cavernous thunderclaps of existential weight.
