Excellent rare, obscure and diverse late 1970's library album, from jazz-funk to romantic melodies, on Pontevecchio (the label's sole release) by Egisto Macchi's son. Never re-issued on either LP or CD.

Not Egisto but Lamberto Macchi, a composer and arranger of the following generation who worked on film and television in the eighties, with Downtown a Fonit library album of urban cues: synthesizers, drum machines, a saxophone here and there, the sound of Italian TV imagining Manhattan at the moment when Italian TV had the money to do so.
It is a period piece of the best kind, produced with the polish that Fonit could afford and with more melodic invention than the brief required. Original pressing, PV series.
