"I have been primarily active in violin improvisations, occasionally releasing tape/electronic works based on them, but since I started the Agencement project in the 1980s, I have owned several modular synthesizers. For many years, I have not utilized them. From 2025, I will also be creating works that focus on these materials." - Hideaki Shimada
