A significant document: Mabel Daniels, Miriam Gideon, Julia Smith, Louise Talma - four American women composers whose work has received far less attention than it deserves, and whose presence on a dedicated compilation LP in the early 1970s was an act of correction as much as documentation. Issued by Desto Records, the American label with a strong record of releasing contemporary music.
