Having moved to Paris in 1970, Alan Silva founded his own label, ran the Institute for Artistic and Cultural Perception, and spent the following decades building a European infrastructure for the music that America had refused to provide. Center Of The World was the record label side of that project, and its releases are documents of a scene that existed almost entirely outside any commercial system. Inner Song is Silva working in that context: strings pushed to their extremes, electronics where he wanted them, and a compositional approach that treats free improvisation as material to be shaped rather than an end in itself.
Original pressing on Center Of The World, France. Self-released, tiny run, and genuinely scarce.
