The latest issue of British monthly Electronic Sound (#137) comes bundled with an exclusive purple vinyl seven-inch by Doublespeak, the new analogue-synth supergroup of Vince Clarke, Neil Arthur and Benge, whose collective CVs include Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Erasure, Blancmange, Fader, Wrangler and Creep Show.
The A-side is a widescreen reworking of Fad Gadget's electro-industrial classic "Back To Nature", while the flip features "Sunset (Instrumental)", a softly glowing synthpop piece and the first ever co-writing credit between Clarke and Arthur after nearly fifty years of friendship. A limited edition pressing available only as part of this bundle.
Inside the issue: in-depth cover interview with Doublespeak ahead of their debut album of cult and classic reworkings (with takes on Thomas Leer & Robert Rental and David Essex among others), plus features on Laibach, Olof Dreijer (The Knife) on his solo debut, System 7's Steve Hillage and Miquette Giraudy, ambient veteran Mixmaster Morris, Haiku Salut, J Zunz, drummer Valentina Magaletti, and Jim Noir in his new guise as The Dook.
Magazine + 7" vinyl bundle. Limited edition purple vinyl.
