In 1984, Frans de Waard published Archive 1, a fanzine containing nothing but discographies of bands he liked: The Legendary Pink Dots, Nocturnal Emissions, Van Kaye + Ignit, Attrition, Esplendor Geometrico, DDAA, Konstruktivits, Portion Control, and P16.D4. At a time before the Internet, it was a much-valued resource for fans of these bands, although hopelessly out of date by today’s standards.

Shortly afterwards, he published issue 2, with discographies of bands on the Insane Music label: Pseudo Code, M.A.L., Bene Gesserit, Subject, Human Flesh, Cortex, I Scream, and Japanese Genius. Archive 3 was an update of Archive 1. De Waard compiled notes for Archive issues 4 and 5, but they never materialised.

All three issues are compiled in this fanzine-style booklet, along with the notes for the unpublished issues. A ridiculous booklet, perhaps, but also a sign of how things were made in those days. With an introduction by De Waard.
