2016 re-issue on Intervallo of the superb 1973 aquatic-themed experimental/ambient electronic library album on Cardium.

condition (record/cover): M / NM (in shrink)

In the early seventies a cluster of tiny Roman labels (Cardium, Chic, Nereide, Musical, Rhombus, Spring, Weekend) issued a nature-themed series of library LPs whose titles read like a biology syllabus; Ittiologia (1973) is the fish volume. Alessandro Alessandroni, Amedeo Tommasi, Franco Tamponi and the unidentified Atmo contribute underwater cues: Alghe romantiche, Minaccia sul fondo, Fascia abissale, Acque profonde, mostly electronic, slow and pressurised.

Intervallo planned the whole seven-album series as reissues and this was the second. It is the closest Italian library came to Jacques Cousteau's television scores, and in places a good deal stranger. Limited edition.
