In 1973 Aldo Lado directs the movie “La cosa buffa” , inspired by the eponymous book by Giuseppe Berto and starring Gianni Morandi and Ottavia Piccolo. The soundtrack is composed by Ennio Morricone, who uses Edda Dell’Orso’s marvellous voice to create an unforgettable theme, both sweet and sensual. The film falls into a broad category of cinematic works that deal with relationships between adults and adolescents, and consequently the soundtrack, composed and orchestrated by Ennio Morricone, thrives on a romantic theme and numerous variations whose romantic theme and numerous variations whose melodies are mainly entrusted to strings, harpsichord and, in several cases, the unfailing voice of Edda Dell'Orso; the only exceptions, the ‘Ballabile No. 1’ and ‘No. 2’ versions of the title track, two rhythmic songs of the ‘60s beat genre.
Exactly fifty years after the previous vinyl edition, ‘La Cosa Buffa’ sees the light again in the same format, in a special version with completely renewed artwork featuring a faithful reproduction of the original film poster on the cover. Yellow vinyl edition. Audio remastered by Claudio Fuiano.
