*100 copies limited edition* Founded by Moreno Daldosso in 1992, Murder Corporation emerged during a crucial transitional period for the Italian industrial underground. The ritualistic and experimental tendencies that had characterized many projects of the 1980s were progressively mutating into harsher territories shaped by power electronics, death industrial, noise extremism and transgressive performance aesthetics. Within this shifting environment, Murder Corporation rapidly developed a distinctive identity based on distorted electronics, degraded tape manipulation, and an atmosphere of profound psychological unease. Releases such as Victims, Lager and Atrocity helped define the identity of the project within the European industrial underground.
Today, the return of Murder Corporation through Macabre Visions reconnects different phases of Moreno Daldosso's work, from the extreme industrial and death industrial experiments of the 1990s to more oppressive, deep and dark atmospheres. This release establishes a direct connection between the radical Italian post-industrial underground of the 1990s and its contemporary aftermath. Macabre Visions reveals a different and rather unusual side of Murder Corporation.
Across its ten tracks, the album moves into a territory shaped by morbid introspection, corporeal decay and psychological disintegration. Titles such as Aesthetic of Pain, Agony of Flesh, Corpse Pleasure and Thanatomorphose immediately reveal the obsessive thematic core of the work, while the music develops through slow-moving dark ambient and death ambient structures immersed in suffocating atmospheres. Rather than relying on the harsh sonic aggression traditionally associated with much of Murder Corporation's earlier material, Macabre Visions unfolds through dense drones, cavernous reverberations, spectral textures and disturbing subterranean resonances that evoke physical decomposition, delirium and claustrophobic states of mind. This aspect makes Macabre Visions particularly significant within the broader Murder Corporation discography. The album approaches areas closer to death ambient and dark ambient traditions, while preserving the bleak emotional nucleus and sense of existential disturbance that have always characterized Moreno Daldosso's work.
