Musics for the Savage Planet' is the new album from Bloodcog, part of a year-long project to record a new soundtrack to the 1973 animated movie 'Planete Sauvage' (also titled 'Fantastic Planet'). As well as the full 70-minute OST, 'Musics for the Savage Planet' is compiled from two takes to form 13 discreet tracks. Bloodcog is a band from the North-West of England featuring five of the region's top improvisers, with a sound part rock, part free jazz, part musique concrete, part electronica (and probably one or two other Good Things thrown in).
