1982 re-issue on Bellaphon of Joel Vandroogenbroeck's band's second album from 1972, a psychedelic space-rock classic on the NWW list.

condition (record/cover): NM / EX- (1/2" top seam split)

The tale of Brainticket is really the tale of the Belgian keyboardist Joel Vandroogenbroeck, the one fixed point in a band that reinvented itself with nearly every record. After the notorious debut Cottonwoodhill, rumored to have unhinged a few listeners mid-trip and banned in more than one place, he dissolved the group, moved south, and rebuilt it from scratch. Psychonaut, recorded in Milan and released in 1972, is the calmer sequel: song-shaped, raga-tinged, thick with flute, organ, and Jane Free's vocals, only the closing instrumental nodding back at the chaos that preceded it.

This is the German Bellaphon pressing of a record that, by geography at least, is half Italian.
