300 copies. Due to overwhelming demand, Nurse With Wound's most coveted artifact finally returns. Originally released on Beta-lactam Ring Records in 2004 as a limited edition CDR of just 25 copies, "Tainted Creampuffs - The Hostess Twinkie Mixes" was one of the rarest items in the entire Nurse discography.
This legendary release has been put back together from its original fragmented form and remastered at IC Studio by Colin Potter, who originally did the mutating of the voice recordings recorded and cut up by Steven Stapleton a long, long time ago. Each original CDR contained a unique mix of voice recordings twisted beyond recognition, with no two copies the same. Produced as a bonus companion to the "She and Me Fall Together in Free Death" LP release, the original featured 89 tracks of source material, though the number of tracks on each version varied. The source recordings were autographed by Stapleton himself, making them instantly legendary among collectors.
This 2025 reissue comes in an edition of 300 copies housed in a digipack with new Babs Santini artwork. The release represents a crucial document of Nurse With Wound's most experimental phase, where voice becomes pure texture and meaning dissolves into sonic chaos.
Possibly one of the strangest Nurse With Wound releases of all time. And that's saying something.
