Edition of 100 Nomade Orquestra releases its long-awaited fifth studio album, Terceiro Mundo, a work that transcends music to represent a journey of resistance, resilience, and inventiveness. The creation process began in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic and social isolation, resulting in eight tracks that form a patchwork quilt of sounds where dormant ideas have awakened alongside compositions created exclusively for this project. "We're closing a very important conceptual cycle in our work," the collective explains. "This is the last record in an instrumental trilogy that has forged our aesthetic. We bet on grooves and energetic beats, with strong influences from funk and soul music, powerful brass sections, sound spices from different places and cultures, flutes and other ethnic instruments. Everything has been designed to create our so-called 'soundscapes', taking listeners on that classic journey without leaving home."

Released on Nublu Records in digital format with confirmed vinyl pressing, Terceiro Mundo represents a dive into the collective's essential universe. The album continues the trajectory established by two focal repertoires in the band's discography: Nomade Orquestra (2014) and Entremundos (2017), joined by Vox Populi Vol I and Vox Machina Vol I (both 2019), and Nomade Orquestra Na Terra das Primaveras (2022). "The title choice refers to the geopolitical term itself, where third-worldism is present in our experiences: Brazil, São Paulo, ABC," the band states. "We face reality and all imposed challenges with hope. We fully believe that music and art are necessary expressions for a mentally blocked society. Our journey is an ode to the sensory and the powerful invisible that permeates our lives."

The album showcases the band's commitment to authentic production methods. "In every aspect of this release we used 'rudimentary' technologies. The music was constructed almost like a collage. The recording was done live, with all musicians playing together. This album is a melting pot, a miscellany of experiences that creates a unique identity in the context of Brazilian instrumental music."

Terceiro Mundo stands as both celebration of Nomade Orquestra's established aesthetic and preparation for their next creative phase, marking the end of an important period while looking toward future innovations.
