Tip! *Basic edition, 30 copies limited* 5 years after the first volume, Fractal is today releasing volume 2 of the very mysterious series of albums « Sirius Phantom Kamikaze » in homage to German rock 70s. The series entitled « Ruckzuck Uhr Kosmische » includes 7 volumes in total (more info online on the Fractal site, on the 24-page brochure). On this Volume 2, it’s Vocokesh who is still at the controls of the spaceship with this new album which turns out to be quite different from the previous volume (Volume 1 was in fact more experimental and interstellar in the wake and extension of « Electronic Mediation » by Tangerine Dream in particular). Here « The Caravan Pasta Box Vampyr Osmose » is more like a joyful « total-space-dimension » serenade of psychedelic blues-rock galore with gleaming guitars and lots of electronics. Groovy and 70s vibrations reminiscent of Faust 1st (side A), Chuck Berry at times or even the master « De Natura Sonorum » Parmegiani playing not with Third Ear Band but rather with Edgar Broughton Band or Checkpoint Charlie… A bracing ‘galacticosmose’ trip with cosmic thrills guaranteed !
