Steve Roach

The Current Above - Immersion Seven embraces the sonic senses within a beautifully expansive 76-minute steady-state zone. Designed for infinite low-volume playback, the album’s sole track “The Current Above” continues the evolution of the long-form immersion series of intimate ambient recordings Steve began in the late-90s. The caress of slowly-unfolding cascades of shimmering textures and diaphanous atmospherics makes for the ideal soundworld for one’s habitat. It’s a delicate and nurturing environment for creative states, sleeping, reading, meditation and other settings where understated sonic incense can gently hold the space.
