*Limited edition of 100 handnumbered items* The first chapter of the "Raum“-trilogy by Dominik Grenzler aka An Moku and Stefan Schmidt. Finely crafted ambient / soundscapes using bass, cello, electronics and field recordings. As for many musicians, if there was anything positive about the lockdown in the spring of 2020, it was having more time to create music, to experiment and to maybe even start a completely new project with someone you may never have worked with before. When Dominik Grenzler…
*200 copies limited edition* Magazine is a new work for solo cowbell by Sean Meehan. It began with the serendipitous purchase of a small cowbell from the bric-a-brac section of a charity shop, and was composed initially on walks in the city and country, as the bell was an easy companion. As the piece was beginning to take form Meehan was visiting Governors Island, off of the southern tip of Manhattan. There he happened upon the powder magazine of Fort Jay and began finishing the piece over retur…
*In process of stocking. Limited edition of 100 copies on clear vinyl.* New self-released album of Bertrand De Lamalle (sax alto) & Pierre Gerard (cello) Recorded & improvised under a bridge 2020.
From the venerable imprint, Ferns Recordings, comes a truly striking split LP by the brothers Massimo and Giancarlo Toniutti. Both legendary figures in Italian experimental music who first emerged within the '80s cassette underground, "Stratégies Obliques I" encounters them constructing immersive works of musique concrète, deploying Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt's "Oblique Strategies" deck as inspiration. Radical and visionary, sculpting the mystical from the sound of everyday, once heard there's …
*200 copies limited edition, CDr format* As an artist and a thinker, Massimo Magee has been consistently drawn towards patterns: traditions, lines of influence, schools and the unexpected intersections of each. This album, Toneflower, presents a solo programme, meditating on many of those concepts. As an entirely improvised set of pieces, it is also inspired by Anthony Braxton’s solo alto tradition and the larger solo saxophone canon. Similarly, it draws from Magee’s prior percussive experimenta…
Invoking imagery of a narrow, perhaps perilous passage, or its dual meaning, the back of the throat, musicians Amanda Irarrázabal and Miriam Ben Boer Salmón named their collaborative 10-track album, Fauces. In this recording, the duo plays with both concepts in a process of improvisation, creating fiercely lush landscapes, layered with texture, ragged hazy wood against strings. The soundscapes are sometimes imperceptible, shadowy horizons emerging from dim light, and rising, something threatenin…
* Edition of 300. In process of stocking * Pekka Airaksinen (1945–2019) was a pioneering composer of electronic and experimental music. Despite his undisputed position as one of the most significant factors in Finnish experimental music, he rarely performed live since the early days of Finnish underground in the 60’s and 70’s. He composed and developed his unique, gentle and enthusiastic approach to music at his private meditation center, far from the pulse and demands of life in the city. Lucki…
Unlike the distant "18/8/81" or the more recent "Wrong Ninna Nanna", this new solo work contains no piano or other instrumental parts. In this release, which occurred like all truly welcome things in an unexpected and unsought way, I have collected some of my own compositions created only from sound material recorded around or taken from other recorded music. Such material has been mutated with various sound processings, and assembled by multiplying layers in both digital and analog environments…
These recordings are based on the idea of acoustic instruments imitating electronic sounds created by a live performer. The core, structure, and length of the pieces are defined by a graphic score that leaves room to the musicians for the imitation of those sounds.
This work is a commission by Archipel Festival and Ensemble Contrechamps, with the support of the Nicati-de Luze foundation.

Liner notes by Lê Quan Ninh:Free improvisation is defined, among other things, by its practioners' refusal to rely on a form composed by others. Partially, perhaps, from pride, but above all from playfu…
The quartet Der Verboten consists of the following musicians: Frantz Loriot (viola), Antoine Chessex (tenor saxophone), Christian Wolfarth (percussion) and Cédric Piromalli (piano). Der Verboten's music swings between improvised music, contemporary jazz and experimental acoustic music. In the course of their collaboration, the four musicians have developed a resolutely differentiated sound language. Although the ensemble works in a conceptual and highly structured way, the practice of improvisa…
Tip! *110 copies limieted edition. In process of stocking* 'Bitter Desert ushers in an intensely reflective listening induced by the sounds of clarinets moving restlessly through progressions of granulated tone, soaring harmonic, gnarly growl, and wild fluttering. The ground here is only apparently firm; rather it is sand-like, constantly shifting beneath the feet of our ears as it surveys a vast sonic expanse turned profoundly inward.' – Adam Zuckerman
Temporary Super Offer! 'Even a cursory revisiting of Houle and von Orelli’s previous recordings confirms that the stark forum afforded by a horn duo strips their music to its essentials, their shared ability to make unorthodox forms and materials sing and dance being the most salient. Fresh, distanced, and potentially transformative perspectives abound on this album, and not just about the music of any other artist; but, more importantly, the tug and pull between the continuity represented by tr…
**Orange tape Limited Edition to 90 numbered copies ** The trio Susana Santos Silva / Torbjörn Zetterberg / Hampus Lindwall emerged in 2015 with their first album If Nothing Else (Clean Feed CF348) which was received with critical acclaim. *In process of stocking* Since his Beat Diary debut (a 12xLP box set comprising 365 beats recorded daily over the course of a year), Julian Sartorius has immersed himself in unique and ambitious projects - trekking the path not travelled to arrive at rhythmic life forms through found objects and prepared instruments.
