*2026 stock. 50 copies limited edition* Underground tape label hearsay proudly releases "babas - letras", a mesmerizing new cassette from enigmatic artist babas. Dropping into the world of lo-fi experimentation and poetic soundscapes, this release captures the raw essence of whispered words dissolving into sonic haze—perfect for fans of avant-garde audio poetry and tape-loop reverie.

"babas - letras" weaves fragmented lyrics ("letras") with drooling, dreamlike textures ("babas"), evoking a bilingual fever dream between Portuguese intimacy and universal drift. Side A unfurls hypnotic spoken-word loops over crackling drones, while Side B plunges into smeared field recordings and vocal glitches, inviting listeners to lose themselves in the tape's warm, imperfect embrace. Mastered for cassette with deliberate hiss and warp, it's a tactile artifact in an increasingly digital age.

babas, a rising voice in Portugal's experimental scene, draws from Leiria's coastal fog and urban undercurrents, blending influences like Christian Bök's sound poetry and umlautmachine's glitch poetics. hearsay, the Leiria-based imprint behind releases from artists like Fernando Aguiar and dare be being, continues its mission to press limited-run tapes that prioritize analog intimacy over streaming ephemera.
