Giuseppe Ielasi and Nicola Ratti: guitars, percussion, turntables, electronics. Recorded and mixed in april-may, 2006. Collages by Michel Doneda. "Another gem from the Kning Disk catalogue, this album by Giuseppe Ielasi and Nicola Ratti takes up a little more bandwidth than Ielasi's recent 12k album, and over the course of these seven untitled pieces you'll hear tangles of light, impressionistic post-rock laced with microsound-style field recording examinations and feedback tones. The first couple of pieces can sound a touch impatient and perhaps even overly busy, but by the third track it all comes together beautifully, with electric guitar and laptop sounds united in a gently cinematic convergence. The sixth piece renders a kind of backwards blues, as if a digital approximation of Loren Connors or Jandek, only for the last ten minutes on the disc to get whisked away by the graceful waves of the wonderful final track, which draws upon a funereal brass-like sound, what sounds like lapping water and a thick swirl of crackle. The overall effect brings the track close to Philip Jeck or even Wolfgang Voigt's Gas project" Boomkat
