In 2022 New Forces received a pair of discs in the mail from Nick Forté (Rorschach, Raspberry Bulbs, Half Mortal) that contained the initial creative burst from his new project Green Tea. The albums were astonishingly well crafted and could hardly be considered "demos"; indeed, they felt like masterworks that emerged out of thin air, blending psychedelic harsh noise with ambient and new age music in a way that felt incredibly fresh and exciting. As the artist describes it, "I knew I was working on a new project when I began sessions for what would become Green Tea, but the focus was unclear at first. It seemed it would maybe be a dark ambient leaning project, but two tangents emerged; one more austere and darker and another somewhat surprising, a brighter strain that veered into what I was hearing as 'new age harsh noise.' I made many tracks and separated them into the two categories, and ultimately two albums; 'Snowblower' became the darker/austere record and 'Bending Your Sauna' the new age harsh noise album. Both records represent the genesis of Green Tea."

New Forces released one of those albums, "Snowblower," in 2023, and it quickly became a favorite for listeners attracted to Green Tea's unique approach, frequently cited as one of the better noise recordings in recent memory. The second of those two albums, "Bending Your Sauna," has been sealed away in temporary stasis, and is now ready to be enjoyed by all.
