This is the recording corresponding to a radio broadcast produced for the program Perspective contemporaine (France Culture) on April 17, 2007. In it could be heard “Dichte”, an extensive sound poem that the author Charles Pennequin created with the musicians Jean-François Pauvros (electric guitar) and Yvan Etienne (electronics). A sound poem made up of several poems that are, to a large extent, love poems. Pennequin said them in French. His vocal realization, effusive, repetitive, and even transposed, turned out to be a prodigy of expressiveness. And the same can be said of the effective musical setting, full of disturbing sonorities, provided by his colleagues Pauvros and Etienne. In their eagerness to explore the radio medium for which “Dichte” was conceived, poet and musicians went hand in hand.
Rossbin offers “Dichte” in a limited edition of 200 numbered copies, of which only 120 have been offered for sale. The CD is accompanied by two promotional postcards with a reproduction of a short fragment of the poem; a photograph of Pennequin and Pauvros signed by both; as well as a double-sided poster (A1 format) with notes and various images related to the work. All contained in red a numbered envelope.
