Paolo Renosto was a Florentine composer with a serious concert career who also wrote for film and television, one of several avant-garde figures who passed through the Roman library labels. Drammatico per quartetto d'archi is what it says: dramatic library cues for string quartet, on Flower, which is to say contemporary chamber writing, clusters, sul ponticello, harmonics, packaged as production music.

It is one of the clearest cases of the Italian avant-garde using library as a publishing outlet, and the quartet playing is excellent. Original Flower pressing, LEW series.
