Rare first edition of 500 copies with bonus disc of the experimental genius' 1995 collaboration with Jim O'Rourke and David Grubbs' band, released by Table Of The Elements in folded poster sleeve.

condition (record/cover): NM / NM

With bonus disc and poster sleeve.

Jeff Hunt's Table of the Elements alphabetised its catalogue by the periodic table; this one was Copper. First 500 buyers got two 7" singles in a 21.75"x29" poster sleeve printed in metallic plum and copper inks. Tony Conrad had been off the recording radar for nearly two decades when Hunt reissued Outside the Dream Syndicate in 1993; this split is the second act of his resurrection.

Side A is Gastr del Sol (David Grubbs and Jim O'Rourke) doing The Japanese Room at La Pagode. Side B is Conrad with May, an excerpt from an unreleased 1965 piece recorded at Steve Albini's studio. The bonus disc carries a fragment of Conrad's 1971 Ten Years Alive on the Infinite Plain, performed by Conrad, O'Rourke (Long String Instrument) and Grubbs (bass). The full work would not appear in complete form until 2017. Sleeve by Jon Malic.
