Tony Conrad and Charlemagne Palestine belong to the generation that built long sustained music in New York in the 1960s, Conrad with amplified violin drones and Palestine with his strummed, overtone-heavy piano. They first met on record in 2006 with An Aural Symbiotic Mystery, and this DVD returns to that collaboration.
It documents a 2006 live performance in Belgium, Conrad's violin grinding against Palestine's piano until the two form a single shifting mass, and adds a second film, Charlemagne Palestine at Home. Released in 2013 by Taping Policies in an edition of 200 copies, with artwork by Darryl Norsen.
