*100 copies limited edition* With "Ghost Music Library", RhaD, acronym for Research of Historical Audio Documents, returns after the 2021 debut Metamusic, further exploring the margins between archival research, improvisation, and sonic abstraction. Created by Italian sound artist Raffaele Pezzella, also known for his main project Sonologyst, RhaD represents a more instinctive and unrestrained counterpart to his usual conceptual rigor. Here, the music unfolds as a collage of forgotten tapes, malfunctioning devices, magnetic dust, and digital errors transformed into expressive language.
The album’s title evokes the spirit of the electronic library music of the 1970s, yet this is no pastiche. Instead, "Ghost Music Library" functions as an imaginary archive, a parallel memory of sounds that might have existed, an archaeology of lost futures. Between the hum of analog circuits and the glitches of obsolete media, RhaD constructs a nostalgic yet radical sound world, where experimental freedom meets the melancholy of vanished existences. It is a tribute to imperfection and to the beauty of the unrepeatable moment, a library of the unresolved and the ephemeral.
